The news comes via the cover of Issue #238 of Electronic Gaming Monthly (shown here), the one which marks the return of the publication, set to arrive December 1. Though the only version of the cover -- published on EGM's Facebook and Twitter pages -- is small in size, zooming in on it does clearly show "Gears of War 3" as one of the items covered inside.

Gears of War Shields

Shields use Gears of war. Shields are dropped by Maulers only,they have a spawning spot on a some maps. You can them as moveable walls, or they can effectively render you invulnerable to everything from the direction that the shield is raised in, apart from flames and the Mauler’s weapon. If you go on your own with this, make sure you know what’s behind you, because you have to aim your weapon to raise the shield, and that makes your field of vision much smaller. They are excellent when becoming a distraction while someone lays the fire down, make sure no bad guys are behind you.

Smoke/Ink Grenade Combination Gears 2

Just as the flamethrower is often ignored, so too are ink grenades. Before picking up an ink grenade, plant your smoke in a highly traveled area. Once you get the grenade, plant it beside the smoke. If an enemy passes, this will simultaneously knock him down and activate the ink, usually killing him in only a few seconds.

Gears of War 2 - Amazing, just that one word needed really. The graphics of this game were absolutely amazing and the storyline was mind blowing, it’s continuous action with non stop blood. This is a must have game for any Xbox 360 owner.This is a great game even though I get killed allot.

Head stomp (Gears of War 2)
It doesn’t matter how hard you think your head is. Someone can still come along and stomp it into the pavement. As you crawl around looking for a teammate in Gears of War 2, your enemy can crush your head with their boot. Granted, you can return the favor, but when it happens to you, you can’t help but cringe.

Gears 2 worm

Gears 2 is much better then Gears 1 the pacing of this game is 20 times faster than the last. You'll be deep underground one moment, in a worm, in a haunted mansion-like place, up a snowy mountain, and then fighting a water monster back underground in not a lot of time. There is so much variety that some of it seems tossed in, not very hard, and more than a bit unnecessary, but it does help the game fly along.
