Gears of War points

In Gears of War, for instance, completing Act 1 on "casual" nets you 10 points, "hardcore" another 20, while "insane" rolls out the 30 point red carpet. Add them up and you get a score that's supposed to represent either your "skill" or your profligate willingness to buy everything available and only play through the first few levels. Two years into the 360's life cycle, casual gamers tend to have scores in the thousands, while hardcore gamers are easily looking down on the rest of us from into the tens of thousands.
