Gears of War film

The Gears of War film made news back in mid-March when it was announced, based largely on the immense success of the video game on the Xbox 360. Since the Halo movie has been put on hold until further notice, every video game fan out there is patiently awaiting a good video game live action adaptation that isn't directed by Uwe Boll. Maybe Gears of War will be it, and maybe Wiseman is the perfect choice after putting together an action-filled Die Hard.
Along the same lines, the announcement of an Escape from New York remake starring none other than Gerard Butler hit huge back in mid-March as well. Although the fans loathed more than praised this announcement (everyone is tired of more sequels and remakes), it is still big news and will still be a massive release once the film hits theaters.

Gears of War for Windows

Gears of War for Windows was not created with the same version of Unreal Engine 3 as Gears of War for 360. We wanted to take advantage of all the latest and greatest optimizations and features that are constantly being added to UE3 and as such, this new content is not easily compatible with the Xbox 360 version."
With five additional chapters to play, including one that pits Marcus Fenix against the monstrous Brumak, the revelation is likely to disappoint many who were hoping for a downloadable update. Unfortunately, the game won't allow cross platform PC vs. 360 play either.

Epic Games PC version of Gears of War

Epic Games’ lead designer Cliff Bleszinski and producer Rod Fergusson in an interview with IGN PC have shattered the dreams of console owners who were expecting new content.
A visibly excited Cliffy B said, Way back in the day we had hoped to fight the Brumak on the Xbox 360. But once we did our first schedules for the original title it became obvious that the beast would have to wait for later..Now thankfully he’s be able to be revealed in his full prime.”
That sure is great news for PC gamers who sadly haven’t got a chance to experience Gear of War-style gory battles and those annoying little wretches. Well, don’t fret because the PC version of Gears of War is coming soon with added content.

Boomers Gears of War

Boomers
These are the rather big aliens carying rocket launchers. Most often you encounter them on the later levels in which you have access to more powerfull weapons like the Torque Bow or the Longshot. Listen carefully to Dominic as he will most often announce the boomers by yelling "Booomeers!". The moment you hear Dominic yell, switch to preferable the Torque Bow and look for the boomers. One shot with the Torque Bow will kill them immediatly. Since they tend to be pretty slow and expose themselves almost all the time, it is hard to miss them with the Torque Bow. Most of the time you can kill them even before they are able to fire a single shot. If you do not have the Torque bow, equip the Longshot and go for the headshot. Again it is hard to miss them, but this time you will need two shots to finish them. Try to achieve a perfect active reload and kill the boomer as fast as possible. Do not let them come close to you.

Gears Of War Reloading Gun

The slider line will start slow towards the sweet-spot square, and then move faster towards the end once it's out of the perfect-reload area. If you can tap RB again right as the slider reaches the sweet spot, you'll get a successful active reload and get a damage-inflicting boost as well as the convenience of a quick reload.
If your timing hits the longer gray bar, you will reload quickly but not enjoy a damage boost. And if you tap the button anywhere outside of those areas, the meter will flash red and you will jam the gun, therefore causing the reload to take longer. If you don't press anything, you will reload at the default speed.

Gears of War munny dolls

They aren't dolls! They're action figures! And they aren't Gears of War munny dolls either, which makes us sad pandas. The National Entertainment Collectables Association (NECA) has announced they'll be making action figures based on Gears of War "and any potential sequels." Sadly, there isn't a single prototype to show off so we'll just have to keep staring at the cute munny doll.

Gears of War Original Soundtrack

The Gears of War Original Soundtrack features over an hour of orchestral music from the game written by Kevin Riepl, orchestrated and conducted by Corey Status, and performed by The Northwest Sinfonia orchestra. This dramatic score accompanies the engaging and disturbing cinematic story including musical themes for the massively scoped worlds and memorable characters, and enhances the epic storyline that plays out like an intense and unsettling blockbuster action film.
